About Us
Life Thyme Botanicals came into being by Denise Bichel. An avid gardener, she always had a passion for plants. That passion grew to a desire to understand how the body can be healed by nature. Denise began slow with a medicinal herb collection in her house. She studied and worked hard to become knowledgeable about the healing power of plants. From there she expanded her vision to a shop where people could come purchase the herbs to help themselves. With reference books around the shop, Denise encouraged her customers to research and learn what herbs could do for them.
With a lot of hard work, dedication, 3 different moves, and landing in our best location it has grown to be the booming business it is today. Although Denise is no longer with us today, her dream of helping others still lives on through her family.
Meet the staff:
We have made it a family affair… We would like to introduce the new staff of Life Thyme Botanicals.

Jeffrey Bichel is the current owner of Life Thyme Botanicals. As husband to Denise, Jeff worked alongside her to build the shop into what it is today. Tackling everything from construction, to logistics and finance, Jeff has worked tirelessly through it all to help secure Denise’s legacy.

Emily Bichel, is the daughter of Jeff and Denise Bichel. She is the manager at Life Thyme Botanicals. From making lolly pops, to the Anti-Infectious Blend, and talking to the customers, this lady does it all! Come in for a cup of tea and a bit of conversation, you’ll always be amused at Life Thyme.

Christina O’Shia is a friend of the Bichel Clan and a valued employee. Her nickname at the shop is “The Glue” because she holds the whole operation together. Christina focuses on social media for the shop, making aesthetic displays and informational signs and promoting not only Life Thyme but also our sister company, Main Street Health and Wellness.

Debbie Swinger is another long-time friend of the Bichels. If a display looks great, you know she had something to do with it. Keeping the shelves full and the shop looking its best is no easy task. We couldn’t do it without her help!

Renee Bichel, is sister-in law to”the above sisters”. Renee helps out at the shop in times of need, she also runs our vendor booths during festivals that outreach to the community. With 3 children in Houston too! this lovely lady has her hands full! But she is always generous with her time when it comes to the shop.
